What started as a neighborhood idea has grown into the largest free trunk or treat event in Chattanooga — bringing together families, faith communities, city partners, and local businesses for one unforgettable Halloween night.
This year marks a historic milestone: for the first time ever, the Midtown Connect Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat falls on actual Halloween night — Saturday, October 31, 2026. A bigger event with more activities for the kids, more city vehicles like EPB trucks, Public Works, EMS, and the SWAT team, and more candy than ever before.

Official City Partner
The City joins as an official event partner — bringing Chattanooga Police, SWAT, Fire Department, and EMS for hands-on community engagement. Officers Lee Mayweather, Davenport & Lieutenant Green lead city involvement.
CARTA provides free special bus service dropping families directly at the event. A dedicated CARTA candy bus at the venue lets kids trick-or-treat on a real city bus — making the festival accessible to all Chattanooga families.
The library opens its doors during the festival — offering free books to every child and showcasing the incredible resources available to our community. Learning meets Halloween!
Think you have what it takes? Decorate your trunk and compete for the coveted Midtown Connect Trunk Decorating Champion trophy — judged by Chattanooga city leaders and community officials.
Churches, organizations, and individuals are all welcome to enter. The more creative, the better!
